Questions?

Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a free consult, contact me.

  • This is an online only practice. I do not provide face to face services, and this will not change after COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted/relaxed.

  • I charge $210 for 50-minute sessions.

    I charge $305 for 90-minute EMDR session.

  • During your first session, we’ll work on your intake paperwork. Your first session will be to cover paperwork and to get to know each other better. During this session, my goal is to get a full understanding of your needs and how I can help. The session length depends on the kind of work we do, and I recommend in the beginning we meet once a week for the first 13 sessions to keep up the momentum we see in session. Payment is collected at the end of the day electronically.

  • The length of our time together depends on your unique concerns. I usually tell clients to plan for at least 6 months. If our work together is complete before then, that’s awesome! And some work may take longer. You and I will discuss a hopeful timeline during your intake appointment and continue to check in as we go.

  • I am an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance. It would be my pleasure to provide you with the necessary paperwork (superbill) to file with your insurance provider for possible reimbursement in part or in full.

It is important to know that not all insurance plans offer reimbursement and that some may have a deductible or an allowable amount. If you are unsure what your specific benefits are, call the number on the back of your insurance card. If you have any questions, I'm more than happy to answer them.

  • If you have insurance, why would you not use it? Although I get it, being an out-of-network provider allows us greater flexibility in your therapy and allows me to truly meet you where you are. The insurance companies often restrict the number of sessions and require me to provide you with a diagnosis. Since your insurance company is paying for the sessions, they can inspect your file and determine whether they will continue to pay based on your progress.

  • Life happens, and I know your work schedule can be unpredictable. It is my pleasure to reschedule your appointment the week before, during, or after your scheduled appointment time. Please refer to your intake paperwork for details about my attendance policy. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
