SUPPORTING CREATIVE WOMEN IN LOS ANGELES AND THROUGHOUT CA ONLINE

Regain control over your anxiety and rediscover all the opportunities that await you.

You’re exhausted from your own thoughts.

You're ambitious and self-aware whether you're an actor, a writer, a musician, or an aspiring artist. You may feel that anxiety prevents you from expressing yourself creatively and being comfortable in your skin.

Despite your best efforts, it seems as if this fear of criticism is only getting worse. Your creative expression at work is being affected and you feel like you're being held back from reaching your goals. You’re tired of the mental gymnastics your mind goes through when you think about meeting new people in your industry or being the center of attention around friends and family. You just want to be happy and confident in the life you’re creating.

Anxiety may leave you feeling alone and unworthy.  And it doesn’t help that you base your worth on how other people perceive you. As a result, you may feel stuck in place while everyone around you is moving along in life. Therapy for anxiety may be for you if:

  • You feel powerless and ashamed around others

  • You feel awkward in group settings

  • You feel like you’re lacking in the romance department because anxiety gets in the way

  • You avoid social situations

You deserve peace of mind.

In the process of overcoming anxiety, you can learn to trust yourself and find your purpose in life rather than fearing judgment from others.

We will work together to overcome the stumbling blocks preventing you from achieving your goals. During our time together, we'll discuss how your thoughts impact your emotions and behaviors. You will learn how to self-soothe so that you can achieve the life you want. Therapy for anxiety isn’t:

  • Us ONLY meditating together

  • Assuring you that everything will be fixed when we finish our work together

  • Paying me to recommend books and blogs

  • Me pushing you to put yourself out there without giving you the proper tools to succeed

In our initial intake session, we will discuss your needs and how I can help. One of my greatest passions is working with women who desire purpose, confidence, and happiness at work, who are determined to work hard and plan for their future as creative individuals. Confidentiality is always guaranteed in our therapy sessions.

While there might be a feeling of vulnerability at first, we'll walk together to find solutions and cope with challenges. It is entirely up to you how much information you disclose during sessions. My only request is that you provide me with some brief feedback during sessions regarding what is coming up for you. In my role as your therapist, I will challenge you gently and provide you with tools and assistance to help you get unstuck and gain confidence.

Therapy for anxiety can help you:

  • Stop responding to your triggers with avoidance

  • Examine your childhood in a helpful way

  • Refrain from reverting to old habits

  • Feel more confident when you think and speak

  • Feel good enough regardless

  • Understand how to deal with everyday challenges

  • Stop feeling alone and unworthy

What EMDR therapy can do for social anxiety

EMDR can help people with anxiety heal. What is it? EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a type of therapy that is known for treating trauma. Mental health issues, including depression and anxiety, can also be treated with EMDR therapy.

EMDR can be explained in a variety of ways, but at its core, it involves letting go of the past. In contrast to other forms of talk therapy, EMDR facilitates long-term change without requiring you to discuss disturbing experiences in detail. EMDR sessions involve simply sharing what is coming up for you. There is no need to discuss it in detail if you don't wish to.

With EMDR, you can achieve the change you need. Let's start the journey to overcoming social anxiety with a 15-minute consultation.

FAQS

What others have wondered about therapy for anxiety

  • During your first few sessions, we will go over your intake paperwork. It is my goal during these sessions to fully understand your needs and how I can assist you. I offer different session lengths, and I recommend that we meet once a week during the first 13 sessions to keep the momentum going. Your therapy will be guided by a treatment plan, but sessions aren't overly structured, unless we're doing EMDR. However, if you encounter a conflict during the week, we can discuss it together during the session. I collect payment electronically at the end of each day.

  • As a therapist, it is my goal to assure my clients that they have confidence in themselves and are not dependent on me for their success. Depending on the individual, this process takes a different amount of time. The length of time we spend working together will be determined by the challenges you face. My support often extends over longer periods of time, providing clients with coping skills and insight into new situations.

  • First, we'll have a 15-minute free consultation, during which you can get to know me, how I work, and ask any questions you might have. It also allows me to determine if my expertise fits your needs. If we decide we are a good fit, I will send you a link to complete the intake paperwork. Also, you will receive a link to the first online session.
