Rebuild self-worth. Trust yourself again.

Does it feel like you’ve built a good life, but still don’t feel good enough?

Whether you’re a professional, a creative, or someone who’s always been driven and self-aware, you’ve built a life that looks good on paper. But privately, you still question your worth.

You told yourself that by now you would feel more secure in who you are. Instead, self-doubt continues to follow you… into your work, your relationships, and the way you see yourself.

It may show up professionally as overworking, overthinking, or hesitating to take the next step because you’re afraid you’re not ready. In relationships, it can look like settling, chasing, or questioning your value when someone pulls away. You might feel like everyone else is moving forward ( getting partnered, promoted, confident) while you’re still trying to feel “enough.”

Low self-worth doesn’t just stay in your thoughts. It shapes your decisions, your standards, and the risks you’re willing (or unwilling) to take.

Therapy may be for you if:

  • You constantly question whether you’re good enough, even when there’s evidence that you are.

  • You compare yourself to others and feel behind.

  • You struggle to feel secure in relationships and fear being unimportant or easily replaced.

  • You downplay your needs to avoid disappointing others.

  • You achieve things, but the feeling of “enough” never lasts.

Imposter feelings don’t have to follow you into every room.

Self-esteem therapy can help you move from chasing validation and second-guessing yourself to feeling internally secure, grounded, and confident in your decisions.

How I Approach Self-Esteem Therapy

We will work together to understand the patterns that keep you questioning your worth. During our time together, we’ll explore how past experiences shaped the way you see yourself today and help you build the emotional regulation skills needed to respond differently in the present.

I integrate psychodynamic therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and EMDR to address both insight and lasting change. This isn’t just about thinking more positively. It’s about shifting the deeper beliefs and attachment patterns that keep you stuck in self-doubt.

Self-esteem therapy isn’t:

  • Me trying to change the core of who you are

  • Me guaranteeing that everything will be resolved instantly

  • Me charging you to recommend surface-level advice

  • Pretending the past didn’t shape you

During your initial intake session, we’ll clarify what you want to change and where you feel most stuck. I work with emotionally aware adults who are ready to look honestly at themselves, do meaningful work, and build internal security that isn’t dependent on external validation.

Our sessions are always confidential. Vulnerability can feel uncomfortable at first, but we will move at your pace. You choose what you disclose. I’ll ask for brief feedback about what’s coming up for you so we can stay connected to what matters most.

My role is to challenge you gently, help you identify the beliefs that are keeping you small, and equip you with the tools needed to trust yourself and move forward with confidence.

Self-esteem therapy can help you:

  • Identify the beliefs that keep you questioning your worth

  • Reduce comparison and the feeling that you’re behind

  • Strengthen your internal sense of value,  regardless of who validates you

  • Improve your ability to speak up and set boundaries

  • Re-examine early experiences without letting them define you

  • Respond to rejection or disappointment without spiraling

  • Trust your decisions instead of constantly second-guessing yourself

  • Recognize when you’re abandoning yourself to maintain connection

  • Develop steadier confidence that isn’t dependent on achievement

  • Stop chasing validation in ways that leave you feeling small

Frequently Asked Questions about therapy for Self-esteem

  • During your first few sessions, we’ll review intake paperwork and begin clarifying what’s keeping you stuck. My goal early on is to understand how your self-worth challenges show up in your relationships, work, and decision-making.

I typically recommend meeting weekly at the beginning to build momentum. We’ll create a treatment plan to guide the work, but sessions aren’t rigid or overly structured unless we are using EMDR. Most sessions are conversational and focused on what’s happening in your life right now… especially moments that trigger self-doubt, comparison, or feelings of being unimportant.

Payment is collected electronically at the end of each session.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and the depth of the patterns we’re addressing. My goal is not to make you reliant on me, but to help you build internal security and self-trust.

Some clients come for focused work around a specific life transition or relationship pattern. Others choose to stay longer as they continue strengthening boundaries, confidence, and emotional regulation. We will check in regularly about your progress and adjust as needed.
It’s the cycle you get stuck in together.

  • The first step is a free 15-minute consultation. This gives you a chance to ask questions, understand how I work, and determine whether it feels like a good fit.

If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you intake paperwork and a link for your first online session.
